Hailsham Livestock Market is Licenced for
the purpose of collecting dedicated Slaughter stock for onward transmission direct to slaughter
All subject to stringent bio-security provisions,
veterinary inspections of livestock, total cleansing and disinfection of vehicles before and after use,
no public access, etc. etc. etc.

BACK TO NORMAL TRADING
the suggested date that this can happen
is on or about 8th September -
we are waiting for the green light
We ask everybody to act in a responsible
manner and abide by all Defra’s conditions
so not to jeopardise the return to NORMAL TRADING

In the meantime
if you have finished cattle or sheep or cull stock to sell then please let us know - we are making every effort to place stock to its best advantage and this can now be done through out Collection Centre for smaller lots or direct to the abattoir

STORE CATTLE & SHEEP

Direct Sale Register up and running but many
prospective sellers hoping for the return of the
auction markets system to offer their stock
under the hammer and through the ring.
Hopefully first sale of store cattle early/mid September
some good consignments in the pipeline

DOLPHIN SHEEP FAIR
Assuming normal marketing returns in September
Date put back for one week and now scheduled for
THURSDAY, 27th SEPTEMBER 2007
same event, same venue

The signs are encouraging for all supporters of the
livestock auction system. We shall be back selling stock under the hammer sooner rather than later
