A Note Of Good Seasonal Cheer
We would like to congratulate The Chairman of the Fatstock Show Alan Westgate,
his wife Carina and sons Samuel and Alex on the birth of their baby girl Lauren,
born on the 10th November weighing 8lb 10 oz
also
Congratulations to Mike Hutchison
celebrating his 50th birthday this weekend
(was it really 10 years ago we celebrated his 40th!!!)
and on a more serious note
Peter Stotesbury, vet at Highcroft Veterinary Group, Hailsham gave a quick talk to a captive audience at the Fatstock Show on Wednesday.
After a life of being clean shaven, he has decided to put down his razor for one month and grow a moustache this year for ‘Movember’
and help raise awareness and funds for men’s health - specifically prostate cancer.
"What many peope don’t appreciate is that one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK, more than 35,000 men will be diagnosed this year and that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Men over 50 are the most likey to suffer prostate problems and I would urge them to get checked regularly - a blood test may be all that is required. Facts like these convinced me that I should get involved and I am hoping that users of Hailsham Market will be able to support his worthwhile cause”
To donate you can either: Drop cash into the clinic at Highcroft,
25 London Road, Hailsham, BN27 3BN
Go online at http://ukmovember.com/mospace/378004/ and donate using your credit card, debit card or pay pal account
Write a cheque payable to ‘The Prostate Cancer Charity - Movember’ and post or drop it into the clinic, or by mailing it to Movember, The Prostate Cancer Charity, First Floor, Cambridge House, Cambridge Grove, London, W6 0LE, referencing my Registration number 378004 on the back. Thank you for your support.

FARMERS' PRODUCE & CRAFT MARKET (HAILSHAM) LTD
This is a final reminder that our Christmas Market on Saturday, 12th December will be held in Hailsham High Street from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. We have been asked by
St. Wilfrid's Hospice and Hailsham Chamber of Commerce to join them in their Christmas celebrations on that day.
We will have our usual stalls of fresh meat and vegetables, honey and wax products, pickles and jams, cakes, plants, a variety of crafts and much more.
This would be a great time to order your Christmas turkey or joint and buy that elusive Christmas present – come and browse at your leisure and soak up the atmosphere amongst the stalls and also in Vicarage Field where plenty of entertainment will be on offer for all the family.
Don't forget that we are running a Christmas Card competition on the day with age groups 0 to 5, 6 to 12 and 13 to adult. Please write your name, age and telephone number on the back of the card and bring them along to the Information Stand on the day. Prizes will be given to the winner of each age group.
We are also organising a free Lucky Draw Christmas Hamper here again, come along to the information stand when we will be happy to give you a number, having made a note of your name and telephone number so that we can contact you if you are lucky enough to win!
If you would like more information or want to book a stall for either our December market or for 2010, please contact the Organiser Janet Dann – Tel: 01323 833359
