Average entry, demand very similar to last week. Brian Foster’s lightweight heifer out in front at 167p and John and Mary Jones lead the steer returns at 164.5p, both homebred Limousin cross stock. Best of the native bred cattle to Messrs. Flower & Lawrence’s Sussex cross heifers at 152p. Nine customers around the ringside - all creating healthy competitive competition even for the purebred Jersey steer at 103p.

We are also lucky to have a new fresh fish stall working out of the Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne, and offering a wide range of locally caught wetfish and shellfish. Our regular stalls will also be selling fresh meat, bread and cakes, seasonal vegetables and fruit, jams and pickles, Organic milk, honey and wax products, seasonal and perennial plants and our Crafts Section based outside, weather permitting.
