SHEEP (902) Auctioneer: Nick Young
LAMBS (14) Overall average 233p per kilo
Off to a really good start - Friday Street Farmers swept the board. Prices just under £100 per head mark. Good quality, keen competition and good retailer demand. Many more wanted but please, please let us know what you have. Friday Street Farmers £99 (247.5p), £98.50 (246.2p), £94.50, (227.2p), £94 (215.1p)
HOGGETS (553) Overall average 177.7p per kilo
Quality fed hoggets a ripping trade, unfortunatley the also rans adversely affecting the overall average. Our advice is to feed them to make them meat before sending them to market. It is a false economy to show unfinished hoggets in the finished section.
