SHEEP TAGS - EID
Tagging this year’s lamb crop - Keep all your options open
Do not restrict your marketing opportunities South East Marts recommend producers to use a Single Electronic Tag or Full EID if you intend to retain ewe lambs for future breeding either to be sold or kept as flock replacements. Sheep tagged with a single electronic tag will ensure you get maximum competition for your lambs in the market place.  Non Electronic tags will not give the option of further fattening, further sorting for defined outlets and will restrict your marketing opportunities. We believe the benefits gained by sheep producers who tag with a single electronic tag, and the sheep industry generally, will far outweigh the small additional cost - keep all your options open
All Store lambs will need to have a single electronic tag.
