Better numbers of cull cows forward - little movement in demand either way - the better fleshed cows in the 90/104.5p price range. Peter Nye’s Limousin cross leading the way at 104.5p, D Hobbs & Son’s have Simmental cross cows to 94p and best of the natives Ken Russell’s purebred Sussex 92p. Friesian steaking cows to 84p. Plain cows to feed on - all prices dependant on breeding and weight, up to 79p for Simmental crosses. Overage beef very few forward - Lean Belgian Blue cross steers to 110p, lightweight Angus cross heifers to 106p.
