CATTLE (27) Auctioneer: Roger Waters
Rock solid trade, more butcher competition, more cattle needed. Ronnie Kemp has top honours 176p for his homebred Limousin steer and Gale Coles leads the heifer returns with Limousin cross heifers at 158p and 156p.
Whether native or Continental suckler bred or dairy bred there’s no doubt Hailsham has the trade. Nine individual buyers ringside all looking for cattle - some go home empty handed. Thank you to those that support the live auction ring.

SHEEP (969) - Auctioneer: Nick Young Start 11.15 prompt
HOGGETS (328) Overall average 157p per kg.
An amazing trade and certainly the top in the South East. There is no doubt with these high prices that the buyers are justifiably fussy. It is therefore essential they are good meat and that it is meat that you are selling.
We need many more, the trade is here and now, how long it will last no one knows.
