Quality cattle at quality prices. Sussex reign supreme at Hailsham. Itchingfield Farms/Tony Robinson have their purebred Sussex steers to 169.5p and John & David King have Sussex steers at 163p and 153p while John Down has Sussex heifers at 159p & 157p. Best of the Continentals to loyal supporter Ronnie Kemp – his Limousin cross heifer to 158p. Some cattle with an autumn look about them and those that have caked their cattle at the back end now reaping the rewards.

A steady autumn trade, limited numbers on offer. Continental cows either side of £1 per kilo. Good well fleshed over fit Shorthorns to 91p, Aberdeen Angus cross 102p, Hereford 92p. Heavyweight steaking black and whites 83p. Brown Swiss bull to 78p.
Best of the overage beef - Sid Harris’ Hereford cross heifer 122p and Nick Jacques’ Limousin cross steers also 122p.
