PRIME CATTLE/OTM BEEF & CULL COWS
Prime cattle, culls and overage beef trading weekly through the collection centre and direct. Beef returns very firm - prime under twenty months very keen. Show day - Wednesday, 5th December all cattle under the hammer and through the ring - availability of lairage under negotiation. Blue tongue zoning does not alter despite continual lobbying by those affected.
Stop press.... some better news FMD Free Export Area could alter on 4th December, greatly enlarging the yellow area - a positive move.

Blue Tongue zoning restricts buying power, people keen for calves but wrong side of the line - all finding it very difficult to live with. Twenty two on offer, variable calves, variable prices.
