Yarded cattle making up the majority of the entry and rewarded accordingly. Dick Bradford on behalf of St. Georges Retreat scores double top with his Sussex x Limousin at 175 and just behind his Limousin cross suckler bred steer at 172p. He also has a Continental cross heifer at 162p. Mostly suckler bred Continental cross steers and heifers changing hands in the 145/155p price range. Cattle looking short for next week.

A shame only eight! but selling very well. Young Belgian Blue bull £280, Montbeliarde cross bull £120, Reared Holstein stirks to £189, Simmental cross heifers, 20 weeks to £270 and £260.

Better entry of milk lambs, however, some showing the effects of the dry weather. Trade was definitely back, although Hailsham fared better than most other centres thanks to the power of the retail butcher.
