Very short and mostly lightweight and medium weight cattle on offer.
Don Robinson’s lightweight Limousin heifer leads the returns at 148.5p with John Down’s similar bred heifer just behind at 148p. Best of the steers to Mr. Monson’s Sussex, a Hailsham speciality, at 139p.
Christmas Primestock Show next week - spoilt for choice.

CULL COWS & OTM CATTLE (56)
Good numbers forward for overage beef and cull cows and encouraging competition from beginning to end. Best fleshed beef cows 95p/110p price range. Peter Nye’s Aberdeen Angus cross to 110p. Limited numbers of dairy culls, medium weight steakers to 81p, plain cows 61/70p.
Cows for further feeding - Blonde cross 100p, small Friesians to 70p. Overage beef little change in demand, M & T Bourner’s Limousin cross 125p, Mrs PM Mills’ Sussex heifers
to 114.5p.
CALVES (26) Auctioneer: Roger Waters
Another very keen trade. Blonde cross bulls £196 and £191, Limousin cross bulls £219, £194, £187, etc. Reared calves 8/10 weeks - Normandy cross £197, Simmental cross steer £245 and Friesian steer £145. Keep them coming - customers are keen.

Good entry of finished pigs and weaners, easier trade, look good value.
White cutter gilts to 82p and boars 75p. Coloured store pigs to £28, others at £24, £22, £19.50, etc. Maiden Large White x Landrace gilt to £105.
