Dairy culls dominate the entry, manufacturing meat trade holds very firm with the present good prices, being fully maintained this week.  Best of the meat Friesian Holsteins 105.5p and 103.5p, heavyweight steakers to 103p, Charolais cows 115p and 114.5p, Limousin cross well fleshed cow 111p and Dexters 64p!  Overage beef  - Aberdeen Angus cross steer to 122.5p.

Encouraging to see another good entry of calves mostly part reared, 5/8 weeks old, all very well received with a lot of customers keen to buy.  Top call of the morning - Thakeham Farms’ British Blue cross bull at four weeks £290.  Other leading prices - Blonde cross bull, 6 weeks £280, Simmental cross bull, 6 weeks £247, Aberdeen Angus cross bull, 7 weeks £235, Sussex x Friesian bull, 6 weeks £235 and heifer £250 and British Friesian bulls, 7 weeks £172.  Already entered for next weeks calf market 4 British Blue cross bull calves, 6 weeks old.
