Many yards emptying and seasonally getting shorter, nine potential customers around the ringside ensuring a rock solid trade. Local beef farmer Ronnie Kemp scores 173p for his black Limousin heifer to Terry Allman of Edenbridge. Graham Beck has lightweight Limousin cross at 170p twice and has top call on the steers at 160p. All in all selling very well but more needed to satisfy buyer requirement.

Appalling weather at Hailsham which did nothing to dampen the ardour of the trade. No other centre even came close to dear old Hailsham today with milk lambs averaging a staggering 11.3p dearer than the nearest centre. Remember if you are not at Hailsham you are not getting the best price.
