THE OLDER CATTLE DISPOSAL SCHEME (O.C.D.S) ENDS ON 31st DECEMBER 2008

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK YOUR CATTLE IN - SPACES ARE NOW LIMITED
If you wish to present your animals on the OCDS scheme
between now and 31st December 2007
At the time of booking a slot you must also provide us with the ear tag number of the animal -
bookings cannot be accepted without this information
Book in your older cows and bulls born or reared in the UK before 1st August 1996
to the OCDS sooner rather than later.
If you leave it too late you may risk losing compensation.
REMEMBER
On 1st January ‘08 there will be a 10% rate reduction to the compensation to 292 euros per head. On the current exchange rate this would be £195.
From January ‘09 onwards - No OCDS - No Compensation -
therefore disposal after that date may incur cost to the producer.

As from January 23rd 2006 all cattle born before August 1996 will have to go on the
‘Older Cattle Disposal Scheme’

We will be a collection centre for these animals on Wednesdays, so please let us know what animals you have to go on this scheme, it is imperative that you book them in with us.

Remember any cattle born after 1st August 1996 can now enter the human food chain and can be sold under the hammer every Wednesday through the auction ring immediatley following the sale of Prime Cattle. Please also remember all animals born after 1st January 1998 need to be double tagged before entering the human food chain.
